Uncover your inner intelligence through your long-term, personalized journey

"Sankalp" - That quiet moment inside you when you decide something is no longer negotiable.

The power of sankalp is deeper than a wish, a goal, or even an intention. It is your  sustained resolve that ultimately shapes your life.

Each person has their own reason and purpose for practicing yoga. Yoga is not about a pose, it is a internal tool for wellbeing and self-inquiry.

What is your purpose? To strengthen your natural healing power? To overcome anxiety? To know yourself? Or maybe even to challenge yourself?

Start with your sankalp, and everything else will follow.

1. The philosophy of our Mysore Style class stems from Bharatha Yoga and the famous text Hatha Yoga Pradipika:

yuvo vṝddho|ativṝddho vā vyādhito durbalo|api vā |

abhyāsātsiddhimāpnoti sarva-yogheṣhvatandritaḥ ||

“The young, the aged, the diseased, and the weak- all may take to the practice of Yoga and derive its benefits, according to their needs and limitations”.

Yoga is available to you in any age, stage, or situation - the practice will adapt to your needs and abilities. It is never too late to start.

2. There are 3 things to invest for safe progress & growth:

  • A good mat

  • Your time

  • A teacher who guides

3. Choose 3-5 days a week that are a part of your routine for yourself - and show up. Gradually build your foundations. Consistency over Intensity. Try to keep the class style that you attend the same - this helps us progress your practice!

4. For yoga therapy, consistency is non-negotiable and we highly recommend making the initial 21-day commitment. Try practicing in our Mysore Style class for 21 days. After 21 days, commit for 3 months-6 months minimum.

Yoga therapy includes those addressing - PCOS, Thyroid, Hypertension/High BP, IBS, Hernia, Slipped Discs, Sciatica, Diabetes, Anxiety, Insomnia, Arthritis, etc. Many issues begin through internal imbalances - yoga believes in addressing the root cause.

5. Order Matters. In Mysore Style, we repeatedly apply the same sequence for as long as your body requires it. If the order of the sequence changes, the impact changes. Each of these sequences are designed to have a certain impact on your mind/body/energy. Over time, the practice becomes meditative and students experience harmony.

6. Lastly, if our Mysore class timings do not work for you, our Online Monthly Cohorts and our Foundation Flows are designed with the same purpose. Foundation Flows are meant to be attended at least 3x a week so we can balance your body in every direction - and introduce deeper techniques. Try committing for 1 month, and experience the difference.

Thank you to our teachers at Bharatha Yoga who share the light of yoga. Our deepest wish is to continue carrying this light to others.
