Jessica is an authorized student of the Ashtanga Yoga Method, trained under Paramaguru R Sharath Jois in Mysore, India since 2015.

Raised in rural North Carolina, Jessica made annual family visits to India, where her deep connection to her ancestral roots and yogic practices began. From her great-grandmother, mother, and grandmothers, she absorbed the sacred rhythms of daily darshan—waking, bathing, and performing pooja—an act of surrender before the day begins. (Ishvara pranidhana)

Introduced to meditation at the ripe age of seven, her practice expanded in her teens with asanas at the Hindu Society of North Carolina under the guidance of Subhash Mittal. After completing her studies, she journeyed to the Himalayas and to Mysore to immerse herself in the practices of Ashtanga Yoga. For the past decade, Jessica has sustained a dedicated daily sadhana within Ashtanga Yoga Parampara and is grateful to share that which she has gained.

In parallel with the spiritual pursuits, Jessica has also worked as a PA in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and liver disease…
